What?

RC Fornax was commissioned to deliver the electrical integration and wiring harness design for various vehicle subsystems. In addition to producing the harness designs, our team was responsible for managing the physical integration and installation of the modified equipment onto a prototype test bed. The task demanded precise understanding of platform‑level electrical architecture, EMC considerations, and integration complexity and constraints typical of military land systems.

How?

Our engineers began by conducting a detailed review of the vehicle’s existing electrical installation, including legacy harness routing, connector standards, power distribution, grounding arrangements, and EMC/EMI considerations. Engagement with the wider supply chain was critical to validating the baseline configuration and resolving interface dependencies.

Using 3D CAD‑based electrical design tools, we developed the wiring harness layouts, ensuring correct routing, separation, bend radii, mounting constraints, and compliance with platform architecture rules. These models formed the basis for harness drawings, connector pinouts, BOMs, and installation diagrams required for prototype build.

Result

RC Fornax delivered a complete set of detailed wiring harness designs and installation artefacts, enabling the engineering team to manufacture, assemble, and integrate the harnesses onto the prototype vehicles with confidence.
